The Region 13 CTE Educator Certification Program offers certification in several CTE areas. This program is intended to serve educators interested in CTE Certificaton needing specialized training.

Important Session Information:


This fast track one-year program provides a probationary teaching certificate for the internship year. With recommendations from the intern's campus principal/PDAS appraiser and the CTE specialist, as well as passing scores on one or more certification exams, the intern receives a standard teaching certificate the following summer. Designed for those who already have education, work experience, and/or licensure/certification in their content area, this program provides performance - and field-based teacher preparation and strategies for CTE program improvement. Region 13 CTE-ECP has adopted the CTE Teacher Preparation Project curriculum created by the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) and the National Research Center for Career and Technical Education (NRCCTE). This teacher induction model aims to equip new CTE teachers with the skills they need to intellectually and emotionally engage students in rich, academically rigorous activities that prepare them for college and careers.
