Leaving A Clear Trail - Special Education Graduation Training
For Canutillo ISD

New and Improved!

Instructional, placement, and assessment decisions have a critical impact on graduation options of students receiving special education services. This training is intended to assist educators in understanding the impact of those decisions and how to appropriately place, track, document, and promote student success after graduation.

Earning a diploma signifies the completion of one’s education, but it is the coordinated set of activities in the transition IEP that predicts student’s post-secondary success. Participants will receive an overview of the relationship between state and district requirements for graduation, special education graduation options, CTE Programs of Study, Courses of Study, College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR), requesting testing accommodations, and the documentation needed to accurately reflect a student’s high school education.

Bring your charged laptop and graduating Seniors’ IEPs to participate in an in-depth dive into how to properly PEIMS code students for graduation to meet SPP 13 compliance based on your real-life situations. This session is presented in collaboration with ESC-R19 CTE consultants.
