Learn all about Unity on the Accent 800, 1000 or 1400. This product training will provide participants with an overview of vocabulary options as well as practice saying single words, phrases and sentences in Unity 1-hit and Sequenced. Throughout the class, basic implementation strategies will be reviewed and demonstrated. In addition to learning about Unity, participants will learn basic device operations and programming such as choosing the voice, selecting an access method, using the setup key to add words and custom messages, temporarily limiting vocabulary, backing up the memory of the device and performing basic device maintenance.
This training is appropriate for SLPs, OTs, ATPs, educators, family members, and others who support individuals who currently use or may need to use AAC devices.

Participants are encouraged to bring devices for this training as the site has limited computers available. Please bring an Accent 1400/1200/1000/800 with the latest software version or laptop computer pre-loaded with the appropriate PASS software. If you want to use a Mac laptop you will need a Windows 7 emulator with PASS installed. PASS software is not compatible with iPads. Please update Accent device software to the current version.
