Eligibility Guidance Exploring the Process




You understand and acknowledge that the training you are about to receive does not cover the entire scope of the program and that you are responsible for knowing and understanding all handbooks, manuals, alerts, notices and guidance as well as any other forms of communication that provide further guidance, clarification or instruction on operating the program.

Our services are provided through the Texas Department of Agriculture's Food & Nutrition Programs funded by the U. S. Department of Agriculture, Food & Nutrition Service. The U. S. Important Session Information:



As a result of attending this session participants responsible for determining eligibility for free and reduced price meals will understand the requirements, policies, and procedures to determine a student’s eligibility status. Participants will be able to successfully apply that understanding to ensure the effectiveness and accuracy of the CE’s eligibility determination process. Participants will review application packet requirements, media release, distributing applications, processing household applications, direct certification, protecting student privacy, and record retention.
