A part of the broader strategy to significantly increase the number of students in Texas who have access to HQIM, the TEA has developed a set Research Based Instructional Strategies (RBIS) to articulate the key instructional shifts that are necessary.

Important Session Information:


This will be a 4-day training for Region 19 RBIS in Mathematics Cohort 1.

On-site learning walks and feedback for each campus will be included as the training progresses from RBIS 1, Balancing Procedural and Conceptual Understandings; RBIS 2 & 3, Depth and Coherence of Key Concepts; and finally, RBIS 4&5 Productive Struggle and Assessment Practices.

Please select a math team of 4 people to include an administrator, an instructional coach and 2 math lead teachers.
