The C-SEP framework can be applied to evaluations for all disability conditions. Following the basic tenets of C-SEP, including targeted and purposeful assessment and the 3 Big Ps, the evaluation will collect vital information to facilitate differential diagnosis, determine adverse educational impact and identify strengths and weaknesses to inform instructional programming.
Participants will:
- Understand the statutory requirements for the identification of Intellectual Disabilities
- Examine Adaptive Behavior components of ID evaluation
- Explore analysis techniques to comprehensively describe functioning to inform IEP development
- Discuss the implications of ADHD and ED on cognitive performance
- Understand the importance and benefits of utilizing a targeted assessment practice when assessing ID, OHI, and ED
- Understand the role of executive functioning and working memory pay within an ADHD and ED evaluation
- Explore the use of checklists and integrate the data within the analysis.
