This training is designed for Secondary Life Skills Teachers. Participants will be given a four-day in-depth literacy training for students with severe cognitive delays focusing on the five areas of reading, reading comprehension, phonics, phonemic awareness, fluency, and vocabulary. In addition, classroom strategies and the building blocks of writing instruction for emergent writers will be discussed. At the end of the four-day training, participants will receive Don Johnstons Readtopia Software.
**Participants MUST ATTEND ALL four days to receive software. Registration is limited to 20 participants.
