Building the Bridge Between FIE and Instruction
Fall 2019, Building the Bridge

Are you a diagnostician who has always wanted others to look at your evaluation results for more than just eligibility? Come learn how to make your evaluation results more relevant to instruction and make your FIE a powerful tool for supporting student success. Participants will learn to report on how the disability affects involvement and progress in the general education curriculum, build on their understanding of a pattern of strengths and weaknesses relevant to academic area(s) of concern, be provided a rubric to improve the quality of their report writing,  and learn strategies on how to report the necessary specially designed instruction for a student. Well written reports support teachers in Dimension 1.4 and 2.4 of T-TESS by providing the information to help teachers encourage student’s higher order thinking allowing teachers to differentiate instruction in their classroom.
