UTEP
Google PD: Computational thinking




UTEP, in partnership with Google, is offering a workshop to introduce computational thinking in the middle- and high-school students of the Paso del Norte region. The workshop will use a game-based learning platform, developed at UTEP, to demonstrate computing concepts such as algorithm, abstraction, data collection, data visualization, and decision making. Successful completion of the workshop will result in a stipend for the teachers, along with access to the learning platform and lesson plans.

Teachers will be receiving a $300 stipend upon successful completion of the 2-day workshop

No equipment is required but they are welcome to bring their tab or laptops if they want - it would be helpful.
