SOCIAL NARRATIVES (SN)
The Evidence-Based Practice of Social Narratives (SN) are interventions that describe social situations in some detail by highlighting relevant cues and offering examples of appropriate responses. They are aimed at helping learners adjust to changes in routine and adapt their behaviors based on the social and physical cues of a situation, or to teach specific social skills.
In this session the steps for writing a social narrative will be taught, examples will be shared and participants will have time to write several narratives that can be used immediately!
This class will be small and everyone will receive the book: The New Social Story Book by Carol Gray and the CD of printable, editable Social Stories!
