The session will feature strategies designed to make understanding concepts in science more accessible and relevant to students in middle school science.
Participants will engage in hands-on, student-centered lessons that are framed in the research-based 5E instructional model and aligned to the science Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). In addition, the session will provide connections to, and strengthen participants’ knowledge of, the College and Career Readiness Standards (CCRS), English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS), and Response to Intervention (RtI).
