In this professional development session, participants will explore instructional strategies focused on preparing students for success in STAAR/EOC Reading.
In this session, participants will focus on the characteristics of literary genres, reading comprehension skills, and strategies. Participants will have a better understanding of how to include modeling of inferential thinking, summarizing, making connections and monitoring comprehension for STAAR. Participants will leave the session with Figure 19 strategies that can easily be implemented into any lesson and help students be successful on STAAR/EOC Reading.
