New Evaluator Learning Series
Day 2 of 9




This professional learning series is designed to build evaluator capacity, ensure compliance with state and federal requirements, and promote consistent, high-quality evaluation practices across campuses. The series supports both new and experienced staff through targeted instruction, collaboration, and applied practice.

Topics include:
• Program overview, expectations, and evaluator roles

• Evaluation types, Child Find responsibilities, and compliance timelines

• Related services and interdisciplinary collaboration

• Organizational systems to support efficient and compliant evaluations

• The ABCs of the Full and Individual Evaluation (FIE), including FIIE and REEDS

• State Performance Plan Indicators (SPPI) 11 and 12

• Family engagement and meaningful participation in the ARD process

• Dyslexia, LPAC, and nursing considerations within special education evaluations

• Collaboration with campus administrators, parents, and school counselors

• Development of PLAAFPs and measurable, standards-aligned goals

• STAAR Alternate 2 and TELPAS Alternate assessment requirements

• College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR), graduation pathways, and transition planning

This learning series is designed for Educational Diagnostician's and any evaluation staff with 3 years or less of experience.

Session Information: 

Participants are invited to atte3nd a nine-day professional learning series (August 2026-May 2027) that is designed to be both informative and engaging. The total cost for all nine sessions is $300, representing a cost-effective investment in evaluator development. Space is limited; early registration is encouraged to secure participation in this comprehensive training experience.
