A review by the SPED Director may have identified an ongoing need for enhanced coaching capacity among CBS providers, particularly in supporting teachers who work with Tier 3 students exhibiting severe negative behaviors. Observations may have shown that classroom staff require additional guidance in reframing student behavior as skill deficits rather than intentional misconduct, as well as support in implementing responsive, in-the-moment strategies. The identified training need focuses on strengthening providers’ ability to coach adult learners effectively, model best practices, and support teachers in fostering inclusive, purpose-driven classroom environments that promote student belonging and meaningful engagement.
