Vision Certification - TDHS - Healthcare
Vision Certification 10/21/2025

The primary purpose for vision screening is to detect existing or potential vision problems that may affect psychological or perceptual processes of vision or may interfere with performance in school.  Generally, children will not outgrow vision problems; therefore, early intervention is very important.  Participants will understand the laws, implementation strategies, and vision screening techniques for Texas school-aged children.  This Texas Department of Health Services Certification course meets state requirements for vision screening of school-aged children.

**Vision certification is valid for five years.
