Migrant Canvassing Activity
Regional Canvassing Event #2 - Locations: Anthony, Canutillo, EPISD areas




As one of the identification and recruitment strategies, as mandated by State MEP, canvassing must occur within the school district(s), in the local community and with the local employers, for the purpose of identifying and recruiting all eligible migratory children within the districts' boundaries.  Migrant specialists and Migrant Service Coordination Leader will schedule visits to the SSA project and non-project district areas, going door to door, distributing flyers, posting posters and networking with employers and service providers informing them about the services available to eligible migratory children.

  • Regional Canvassing Event #2

  ESC Region 19 Migrant Education Program in collaboration with all districts will

conduct regional canvassing in search of newly arrived migrant families in the area.

  Areas of focus:

  • Canutillo ISD, Anthony ISD, El Paso ISD.
  • Assignments, groups, and meeting points forthcoming.
  • Debriefing and lunch in Canutillo ISD Boardroom to follow immediately after canvassing.
