Child Nutrition offers assistance to several programs that provide healthy food to children including the National School Lunch Program, the School Breakfast Program, the Child and Adult Care Food Program, and the Summer Food Service Programs, as outlined in the USDA regulations.

Important Session Information:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) is a federally assisted meal
program that provides 3 million lunches and nearly 1.5 million breakfasts
to Texas children every day. Operators aim to serve nutritious lunches to
students and must also meet federal nutrition guidelines as well as daily
and weekly meal pattern requirements. This course describes the meal
pattern requirements for pre-K through 12th grade students participating
in the National School Lunch.
