The four modules under this section were developed by the Parent and Family Engagement Statewide Initiative, whose team members have extensive experience in developing and operating parent and family engagement processes in educational settings. The modules are facilitated by ESC personnel and offered in person at the regional service center throughout the school year.

Important Session Information:


This session is designed to provide a general overview of the requirements for Parent and Family Engagement (PFE) requirements under ESSA. During the session, participants will identify:

  • district and school level PFE requirements under ESSA, 
  • allowable uses of Title I PFE funds, 
  • common monitoring trends and findings focused on parent and community engagement, 
  • and guiding principles in parent and family engagement.
