The purpose of the special education self-assessment is to assist district teams in evaluating and improving their educational program for students receiving special education services. The self-assessment is completed annually by all LEAs, regardless of RDA framework determinations, and is intended to engage leadership teams in proactively addressing special education compliance and support student performance.
This virtual session will be an overview of the process with activities to prepare you and your team to conduct your annual Self-Assessment. By the end of this session, you will have access to TEA resources, tools created by Liaisons to support you in this process, and you will have a plan for your next steps to complete the self-assessment.
