Child Nutrition - Food Safety & Sanitation (Food Handlers)
Child Nutrition offers assistance to several programs that provide healthy food to children including the National School Lunch Program, the School Breakfast Program, the Child and Adult Care Food Program, and the Summer Food Service Programs, as outlined in the USDA regulations.
Food Safety is how food is handled to prevent foodborne illness. Food sanitation is the cleanliness of equipment and facilities. Participants will be able to get certified for two years. Must pass test with an 85 and above. You will receive certificate after completing the course on January 15, 2022 at ESC-Region 19 face-to-face or zoom.
This session is only for National School Lunch Programs (NSLP) and Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
