UTEP Research Facilities Tour




Collaborative Participants will have:
  • Priority access to the 16 or more STEM training sessions at no extra cost
  • Free materials (STEM kits, books, etc.) and resources with most sessions
  • Networking opportunities with STEM educators from Region 19 and around the state
  • Firsthand Visits to STEM Active Learning Communities fostering next level STEM with Q&A thereafter
  • Mentoring opportunities with STEM teachers/leaders and industry
  • Active learning Field trips with hands-on activities and lessons included
  • Priority access to TEA-sanctioned STEM teacher training
  • Follow-up campus support and instructional coaching opportunities (1 per semester)

Important Session Information:


This session will familiarize teachers with the high-level research being conducted at UTEP, from interdisciplinary projects in the new Interdisciplinary Research Building to highly focused research topics in Science and Engineering that cover 3-D printing, biomedical advances, space science and engineering, water issues, earthquakes and faults in our region, and more. Participants will also be able to explore opportunities for networking and program details for student outreach at the university.
