Making the First year Fun:Best Practice for First year Foreign Language Students Part 1




Session will provide strategies and/or tools to help LOTE teachers implement TEKS for LOTE by addressing communication, cultures, connections, comparisons and communities.

Important Session Information:


These sessions are intended for teachers of 1st year foreign language students.  Part 1 will cover survival language, dictation, using language in context and developing all four language domains in a low stakes manner. Part 2 will cover reading and writing using multiple genres, reinforcing the use of all four language domains and developing metalinguistic awareness. These sessions are not language specific.  All LOTE teachers are invited to attend.  Attend both days and receive a discount or attend the session that best fits your needs.  Bring an anchor text and walk out with a sample lesson. Second session is on January 27, 2022
