HB5 College Preparatory Course Training
College Prep Summer Symposium - EPCC




This course is intended for teachers who will be teaching the HB5 Section 28.014 College Preparatory Courses designed for high school seniors identified by their districts as not having met college readiness standards.

Participants will learn about the requirements of HB5, learning outcomes of this course, goals and objectives, and grading policies.  Teachers will receive guidance through developing a syllabus and incorporating College and Career Readiness Standards as well as the Common Instructional Framework into their curriculum and lesson plans for the college preparatory courses.

Important Session Information:


The College Prep Summer Symposium will convene English and Math high school and higher education faculty from across the region to review local and state college prep data and trends, share promising practices, and learn from each other in discipline-specific sessions tailored to teachers' needs. The purpose is to improve faculty collaboration and to encourage peer-to-peer learning for these important courses.
