Description:  Decisions begin by asking good questions.  The key question related to determining a personal AAC system is: What is the goal for language using a personal augmentative communication system?  Additional questions include: What is the current communication? Who needs to be involved?  What needs to be evaluated? How will the evaluation be conducted?  Where will the AAC system be supported?  Asking valuable questions and analyzing the answers will result in plans that are focused on developing language, in ways that language is developed.
