Mentor Teacher Day 1 - Teacher Institute & Teach Like A Champion




•Transformational Teacher Institute: Mentor teachers will set the stage for professional expectations during this mentoring period. They will explore behavior and language that fosters a positive culture and promotes trust and rapport among the collaborative team in a virtual setting.
•Teach Like A Champion: Teachers will explore, identify, and practice techniques that will enhance positive behavior and culture in the virtual classroom.  Mentors will preview the videos and lesson expectations in the modules and will share in discussions about the process they will implement in working virtually and face to face with their new teacher.

Important Session Information:


Transformational Teacher Institute: Mentor teachers will set the stage for professional expectations during this mentoring period. They will explore behavior and language that fosters a positive culture and promotes trust and rapport among the collaborative team. Mentor teachers will outline campus policies that guide professional conversations with parents, administration, and students. Session will allow mentors to explore coaching cycles and share in discussions/brainstorming ideas to overcome challenges.

Teach Like A Champion: Teachers will explore, identify, and practice techniques that will enhance positive behavior and culture in the classroom. This session will focus on techniques #1-3 under category #1 of the TLAC course. Mentors will preview the videos and lesson expectations in the modules and will share in discussions about the process they will implement in working with their new teacher. Virtual platforms and strategies will be explored
