The Teacher Preparation and Certification Program STEM cycle provides an opportunity for professionals from various fields in the areas of Science, Math and Engineering, to become teachers through an alternate route leading to certification in Texas. The primary goal of the Teacher Preparation and Certification Program is to prepare and certify successful self-confident middle school and high school teachers so that the best possible instruction will be offered to students.
Students in the (STEM) Teacher Preparation and Certification Program at ESC-Region 19 will participate in a rigorous program partnered with the Three Rivers Education Foundation, Clint ISD and WGU. Training for (STEM) TPCP involves meeting course requirements with ESC-Region 19, requirements set forth by the Three Rivers Education Foundation, and requirements set forth by WGU.
Upon successful completion of all program requirements participants will earn a Texas teaching certificate specific to their area of study and a masters degree through WGU.
