More than Robotics Club: Infusing STEAM into your curriculum
STEAM Principles




Are you sick of hearing about STEM, STEAM, and STREAM?  This hands-on PD will demonstrate why STEAM is important in your classroom and give you the tools to seamlessly incorporate it into your lesson plans.  Insights will provide 12 hours of professional development for 8th - 12th grade teachers during two six-hour days at the Region 19 Service Center.  PD will provide teachers with a variety of tools, context, and hands-on experience infusing cross curricular STEAM activities across multiple grade levels.

Audience

Teacher 9-12

Important Session Information:


Teachers will gain experience with:

1.    Accessing a variety of STEAM resources like: Insights lesson plans, UTEP's ADP MaST Academy lesson plans, and online resources to help them develop STEAM lessons for their classrooms

2.    Building STEAM activities around standards: engineering design concepts, STEAM rubrics, Scratch coding introduction and STEAM applications
