Rethinking Discipline: A Continual Approach to Using Mindful Practices to Improve Student Behavior - Social Emotional Arts on a Shoestring - UCLA Training
Part II

Participants will be learning more strategies that are geared for the elementary and secondary classroom to help students, especially students with challenging behaviors.  It's about continually providing tools for the teacher to help students restore emotional balance through the use of learning how to make musical instruments, ocean water for a calming effect, Haiku poetry and laughter to dislodge emotional blockages. These strategies may also be used to help with teaching the different content areas.
