Addressing the 1% Participation Rate for STAAR Alt 2

Participants will learn participation requirements, administration procedures for assessment, testing accommodations, procedures, and policies. This session will also provide guidance to districts/charter schools who are exceeding the 1% participation rate for STAAR Alternate 2. Participants will be provided with information which will include a process for reviewing data specific to each LEA and region. Each district/charter school attending will receive training on five steps LEAs can take to ensure that ARD committees are making assessment decisions that result in the most appropriate assessment for each student. This session is being made possible through IDEA B Funds.
