Leading the Learning Sessions for District & Campus Staff
Interim and Local Assessments




The goal of these sessions is to provide a clear vision for what districts and schools across the state do to ensure an excellent education for all Texas students.  The Effective Schools Framework (ESF) provides the basis for school and district leaders.  These sessions will provide school district leadership teams the opportunity to participate in professional development that is aligned with the ESF Levers which will help support continuous improvement at the campus and district levels.  The five ESF Levers are: Strong School Leadership and Planning, Effective, Well Supported Teachers, Positive School Culture, Effective Instruction, High Quality Curriculum.

Important Session Information:


In this session we will explore processes to enhance your current local assessment practices and take a deep dive into understanding the TEA interim assessments.  These assessments are exam items that have been aligned to the TEKS and validated to provide a probability of success based on current student standing.  We will share how to access these assessments, provide a few case studies and discuss logistical implications.
