Understanding the Mexican School System
AM Session (Elementary and Middle School)




This presentation provides participants with comparison of the educational system of Mexico and the U.S., understanding primaria, secundaria and preparatoria school in Mexico.

The enrollment and appropriate placement of students transferring with credits and coursework from Mexico is critical to their academic success. Participants will learn how to apply Mexican credits and courses for students' proper placement in the U.S. schools

AM Session:  8:30-11:30 (Elementary & Middle School Counselors)

Topics: Discuss Primaria, Secundaria and Preparatoria.

Main differences each one has in comparison to schools in the U.S.

 

PM Session: 1:00-4:00 (High School Counselors)

Topics:  Will concentrate on coursework & appropriate class placement.

High School staff is encouraged to bring student records they may need assistance interpreting.
