Points to Ponder When Building Crisis Management Teams as Well as Writing FBA's, BIP's, and Contracts for Responding to Individuals Who Demonstrate Extreme Behaviors That Interfere With Learning/Teaching

Do these experiences sound familiar?  Screaming? Throwing things? Profanity? Running from the instructional setting?  Do you feel you’ve tried everything and nothing seems to work?  Learn the dos and don’ts when preparing for, as well as responding to, challenges that interfere with learning/teaching. In addition, this session will provide practical, meaningful strategies to consider when developing plans for students who demonstrate extreme behaviors.  Techniques will focus on how to review your district format, and determine the dos and don’ts for documenting best practices, as well as write plans that emphasize ownership and accountability
