Communication is Key!

Teaching students to communicate is essential to unlocking their potential. This session

will provide an overview of the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) as well as

examples of how a classroom teacher and SLP work together to implement it in a PPCD classroom. PECS is an Evidence Based Practice for students with autism. However, it can also be used with students with a variety of disabilities. This session is appropriate for teachers or SLPS who want to learn what PECS is and/or for those who have been through official PECS training but struggle to implement in the classroom.
