Have Fun with Phonological Awareness!
Phonological Awareness




Phonological Awareness is an integral part of early childhood literacy development and one of the leading predictors of reading success.  In this session, participants will be come familiar with the phonological awareness continuum and will begin to understand that the continuum follows a sequential development from large sound units to smaller sound units.  Participants will engage in activities that are appropriate for young readers along the continuum and will leave with activities that can be used immediately with students.
