Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL) - Spring 2019




The Texas Education Agency & ESC-Region 13 have collaborated to design a new professional development training - Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL) - that serves as the mandatory prerequisite to the course designed to prepare administrators for certification as appraisers of teachers(T-TESS).  AEL is one of the three components of systems approved in the Commissioner's Rules (AEL, Teacher Appraisal & Administrator Appraisal).

Important Note: In order to receive AEL certification, participants must attend all three days of the Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL) Training within each training series.   

*Please ensure your calendar is clear before registering for this series.  Make-up sessions will not be provided.

**Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL) certification is a mandatory prerequisite for Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) certification.

Important Session Information:


The goal of AEL is to provide practical and relevant examples from the field of education with a balance of research to allow participants to engage in the challenges faced by 21st century school leaders.  This three-day training is highly reflective and offers multiple opportunities for participants to develop a deep understanding of the conceptual connections across five themes & seven strands interwoven in the AEL design.
