Home on the Range: Kinder- 5th




The Home on the Range science workshops, sponsored by a grant to Welder Wildlife Foundation provide hands-on, active learning with many outdoor activities to help teachers make real world connections to science.  The workshops provide engaging, student-centered activities with alternative assessments that meet the needs of all students, and require the use of higher order thinking skills. Lessons are easy to use and require only inexpensive and easily obtainable materials.

Important Session Information:


 Each participant will receive the complete Rangelands guide, which contains 27 student-centered lessons using hands-on, real world science investigations. Each lesson includes from 3-8 activities. The workshop and curriculum guides are free to participants. All lessons are aligned to the core Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills and focused on science with connections to social studies, language arts, math, and technology.
