The Counselor Alternative Program is intended to aid districts in filling Texas School Counselor positions with outstanding counselors who are highly trained, committed, dedicated and who have exceptional skills and empathy necessary to work with a diverse student population.
Certified teachers participating in the Counselor Alternative Program must have a Masters degree and a minimum of two years teaching experience. Interns will participate in an intense 12 month cohort including 200+ hours of internship & TExES exam.
